RESPONSIBILITY

ethics

For Amin Luxury, responsible sourcing is the essence of all its activities. Throughout the journey of one of our diamonds, from extraction to retail, particular attention is paid to social responsibility for the workers and environment. Amin Luxury is committed to the maximum respect of all the regulations enforced with regards to conformity, integrity and transparency.

The Kimberley Process (KP) was established in 2003 by the United Nations to prevent "bloody diamonds" from entering the traditional rough diamond market. The process began in May 2000 when the South African diamond-producing states met in Kimberley, South Africa.

The base of the discussion was to find ways to stop the corruption in diamond trading and to ensure that the purchasing of diamonds does not finance civil wars, thereby undermining legitimate governments. To be granted a Kimberley process certification, there are minimum requirements that a nation must meet. Special regulations and guarantees must be put in place, reports must be completely transparent and statistical data must be provided, as well as certain checks on the import and export of each rough diamond.

All international diamond shipments must be accompanied by a KP certificate that guarantees their "conflict free" origin.

KIMBERLEY PROCESS

Diamonds without conflicts

Amin Luxury diamonds are "conflict free" diamonds, carefully selected by experts. The Amin Luxury belief is that it is essential that the symbol of love for life, the jewel that binds you forever to a memory, derives through a respect for nature and for all the people who take part in its extraction and refinement.

Every Amin Luxury diamond source must respect the Kimberley process, an international monitoring system co-founded by the De Beers Group with the aim of eradicating the conflict diamond trade.

Ethical sourcing is the heart of an Amin Luxury diamond. We examine the rules on human rights, the political climate and the socio-economic profile of each community that sources our rough diamonds.

The ethics of our business is as important as the purity and perfection of the diamonds. As part of our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), we guarantee that all employees and communities in our diamond production benefit from legal, safe and responsible business practices.
